Asis Mullick

Asis Mullick is a distinguished violinist and violist with over four decades of experience in both performance and education. A revered figure in the field of string instruments, his journey spans international performances, advanced conducting studies, and the mentorship of countless students. Asis brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to his role at Bridge Music Academy, where he continues to inspire the next generation of musicians.

Asis began his formal music training under Mr. Prosanto Dutt in Calcutta and earned the prestigious LTCL Performer Diploma. In 1985, he had the honor of representing India in the World Philharmonic Orchestra during the Nobel Prize Distribution ceremony, performing in the 1st Violin section under Maestro Carlo Maria Giulini in Stockholm, Sweden. His expertise further extends to conducting, which he began studying under Hans Jurgen Nagel in Calcutta. From 1987 to 1992, Asis trained at the Bayreuth Music Festival in Germany under renowned conductors Bernhard Lang and Gunter Niedelinger.

As a co-founder of MUSES, a Delhi-based string ensemble, and a founding member of MURECA in Calcutta, Asis has contributed significantly to the growth of orchestral music in India. He has also performed at numerous international festivals, including the Bennington Music Festival in the USA in 1996. Renowned as a soloist for both the violin and viola, Asis continues to be an influential figure in the world of classical music.

With over 40 years of experience, Asis Mullick is a respected senior teacher and a guiding force at Bridge Music Academy.
