Meet Kimberley Rodrigues, an alluring performer and an equally skilled vocal mentor based in New Delhi, India.
All her life, she has strived to use her gift to reach people not just through performances but also teaching. Very few catch the urge to become a teacher early in their learning process and she is one of them! According to her, “One finds extreme happiness working for children, aiding in the holistic development of young minds while helping them find and develop their voices as a means of expression”.
For performance, she is currently in pursuit of Grade 8 in Singing from Rockschool, UK. For teaching, she is an active and thorough researcher which has enabled her to understand the diverse learning needs of varied students and cope with the required method and strategy. One of her main goals is to get her students to inculcate the best of best habits related to music learning and get them to relate music performance to “story telling”.
She is also an extremely versatile singer with her performance genres ranging from commercial entertainment to performance art. This has always given her an edge to help cater to the diverse needs of students interested in different styles of music. Over the past ten years, she has released many of her original music as a solo artist which has attracted praise from all around and she has been featured in many reputed publications. She has performed with numerous bands, visual artists, a cappella choirs, theatre artists and dancers as well. She is active in both performance as well as education circuit enabling her students to reap benefit that comes from both these worlds and experiences including the right vocal technique, interpretation and story-telling feature of music, composition, performances, band knowledge and stage presence.
