Vignesh Iyer, originally from the city of Mumbai is a diploma holder from the Swarnabhoomi Academy Of Music and is now pursuing his musical career in New Delhi. The 31 year old accomplished guitar player was awarded a certificate for ‘Outstanding Potential’ by the end of his stay at the institution. He is currently studying and exploring the vast world of Jazz and he has also secured a Grade 4 merit certificate post the Trinity Guildhall Classical Guitar Examinations. He has had vast previous experience playing with a number of bands as a sessions player. His expertise also extends to being a steady musical mind in a high pressure studio recording environment.
Vignesh has been educated in classical guitar by the extremely well renowned Mr.Ashley Quiney and Jazz has bestowed him with mentors such as Rubens De La Corte, Jake Hertzog, Pawan Benjamin and Jacob Damelin. His dedication to the study of music has equipped him technically, theoretically and from a human perspective to understand and impart musical education to students across all age groups and levels. He has been a teacher for more than half a decade now and prides himself on the ability to teach a number of styles ranging from Rock, Pop, Blues, Classical or Jazz. He is a stickler for teaching music the right way and ensures that the fundamentals of music once taught are permanently ingrained within the student, thereby creating a strong foundation for further pursuits.
Won Project Aloft Star Asia Pacific, a competition organized by Universal records while playing with Singer-Songwriter Hanita Bhambri in Seoul, South Korea. His guitar playing also features on her debut EP titled ‘Nothing for our own’ while his Jazz, RnB and Neol Soul influenced avatar extensively colors Chennai based band ‘Sage For The Ages’ debut EP, Dual Nature.
