Guitar

Salil is a guitar player, singer, composer and music producer from Meerut with an experience of more than 15 years in the field of music.

Having learnt guitar from a very early age, Salil decided to learn professionally and enrolled at Bridge Music Academy, New Delhi back in 2012.

After learning for around 2 years he went to study at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music., where he studied Jazz Music and its application in other forms of Music.

During his 2 years at Swarnaboomi Academy of Music, he studied under various notable musicians such as Tom Brislin (former keyboard player for the band “YES”, Phil Maturano from Musicians Institute L.A, Ricardo Vogt (guitar player for Esparanza Spalding Trio), Ric Fierabracci (Grammy nominee) and Brian Metreyon (Faculty at Mcnally Smith College of Music).

He has actively been involved in teaching since 2015.Despite being a self-taught Music Producer he has independently produced the background music for the web series FLAMES SEASON 2 produced by THE TIMELINERS. He has also recorded guitars for quite a few OTT web shows including College Romance by TVF, Home Delivered by Zomato Originals and Flame. He recorded guitars for various projects with Digital Academy, one of the finest Sound Engineering Schools in Mumbai, run by Mr.Daman Sood. In 2019 he recorded guitars and worked as the arranger for Television and Film Institute’s (TAFA) original song “Jaayein too Kahaan”.

In 2021 he began he ventured into songwriting with his composition “Chhaton Pe” which featured in the Natak Pictures Originals’ short film “Kati Patang”.The film received a special mention award at Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival 2022.

He also runs a YouTube channel as a Singer/Music Producer and is currently based out of Chandigarh .
