HIMANSHU DELWAR

While growing up as a music lover in the unassuming city of Agra, Himanshu drew his wide variety of influences from artists ranging from Lionel Richie, Ray Parker Jr., Pink Floyd, Backstreet Boys, Michael Jackson to Hariharan, Lucky Ali and Ghulam Ali to name a few. He joined the school choir at the age of 9 and soon found himself winning various music competitions! His influences kept growing and soon included bands such as Tool, Dream Theater, Opeth, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Guthrie Govan, John Mayer, etc.

His love for music brought him to Delhi soon after this schooling. He pursued Indian Classical vocals at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and went on to complete his graduation in India Classical Music. He pickup guitar via the socio-cultural route but soon found his mentor in Mr. Abhishek Rai, who helped him earn his Grade 7 qualification in Guitar from Rockschool, UK.

Over the years, his musical pursuits led him to freelanced, perform, and record for various artists. Highlights include Mame Khan (Rajasthani Folk/Coke Studio Artist), Nirvaan (Indian Classical/ Progressive Metal Fusion Band) and Simar Kaur (Bollywood Singer). He is also co-founder and producer at the music production house called Okult Records. Currently he teaches at the Bridge Music Academy with a vision to help his students gain well-rounded knowledge in various aspects of music, which couldn’t be more in-line with the vision of the Academy “The Complete Music Education”!
