Drums is the core of a rhythm section in a band. This is purely a rhythm instrument and is not really capable of playing the melody or harmony. Often referred to as the timekeepers of the band, drummers play a very crucial role is keeping the band together and contribute considerably to the energy and momentum of the music. Students learning drums master their rudiments and gain technical command over different styles of music such as Rock, Pop, Jazz, Reggae, etc. often drums enthusiasts give up on learning this wonderful instrument due to logistics issue with the volume and sound management associated with the instrument. Today there are fantastic electronic drumkits available in the market that can easily allow you to resolve these logistic issues at a nominal cost. We advise you to consult one of our faculty members, free of charge, to gain better understanding of the instrument and logistics surrounding learning it. Drummers regularly collaborate with other musicians to form ensembles that perform at concerts hosted by the Academy.
