Anoop began his musical journey at the age of 13, initially training in Indian classical vocal music and tabla under the guidance of his guru, Ms Sanchita Chakroborty and Mrs. Kavita ji respectively . Over the years, he developed a strong foundation in rhythm and melody, which later led him to explore Western percussion. Additionally, he has earned a Prabhakar degree in Tabla from Allahabad University, further strengthening his credentials in Indian classical music. Anoop is constantly driven to learn, grow, and refine his craft across diverse musical styles.He is pursuing formal training in drums under Mark Sir and successfully achieved Trinity Grade 6 with distinction. Alongside his performance journey, Anoop has also shared his expertise by teaching drums at Learning Paths School and Vivek High School. He also took lessons from renowned international drummers such as J. Scott, Isac Jamba and Matt Garstka, gaining exposure to global techniques and contemporary styles.
Why I teach ; I feel it is my responsibility to share the knowledge I’ve gained in all these years to help other students pursuing music, and to honor the wisdom imparted to me by my guru.
