Manas Pratim Bora

Manas Pratim Bora is a passionate music educator, skilled pianist, and emerging composer from Guwahati, Assam. His musical journey began at the age of 5, and over the years, he has blended formal training in Western classical piano with a deep-rooted love for expressive performance and music education.
He currently serves as a music educator at DPSI Gurgaon, where he teaches within the IB PYP (International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme) framework. His work focuses on developing students’ understanding of rhythm, harmony, and ensemble playing through engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences. He emphasizes collaboration, musical listening, and creative expression, helping students build both technical skills and confidence in performance.
He has successfully completed the ATCL Performance Diploma in Piano from Trinity College London under the mentorship of Ms. Aching Shaiza. He also holds a Grade 8 certification in classical piano with distinction from Trinity College London and has developed a versatile musical voice across both classical and contemporary styles.
Beyond the classroom, Manas is an active performing pianist, collaborating with his band in Delhi. His work spans genres such as progressive rock and blues, where he contributes rich textures and dynamic arrangements.
With a strong intersection of interests in music theory, ensemble performance, and education, Manas continues to refine his pedagogy, ensuring that every student finds joy, confidence, and a deeper connection to music. His dynamic presence and thoughtful musical sensibility make him a compelling force both on stage and in the classroom.
