Drums Faculty
Mark began his rhythmic journey learning tabla from his Bade Dada Guruji, Pt. Biplab Bhattacharya ji. He further expanded his expertise with African rhythms under Daio, learned drums from Guru Vishal Mehta ji (a disciple of Pt. Suresh Talwalkar ji), and refined his skills under the guidance of Gino Banks in Mumbai. Currently, he is mastering the art of rhythmic language, Konnakol, and continues to explore diverse drumming styles.
Qualifications
- Masters in Vocals
- Visharadh in Vocals and Tabla
- Grade 8 in Drums from Trinity College London (100/100 marks)
Learning and Inspiration
Mark has taken inspiration from renowned drummers and books by J. Schott, Jojo Mayer, Benny Greb, and Chris Coleman, among others.
Experience
With over 12 years of teaching experience and 8 years of performing with bands, Mark has become a celebrated figure in music education and performance. He is the proud brand ambassador of Meinl Stick and Brush by Furtados.
